Built to Support, Not to Replace
Vinh Phat was founded on the idea that good consulting should leave your team more capable after every engagement, not more reliant on external support.
Back to HomeWhere Vinh Phat Comes From
Vinh Phat began in 2012 as a small advisory practice working with Vietnamese manufacturers in Binh Duong and Long An provinces. The founders — both with backgrounds in operations and trade finance — had grown frustrated watching capable companies struggle to make decisions because their data was scattered, their trade knowledge was incomplete, or their internal programs were pulling in too many directions at once.
The firm relocated to District 1 in 2016 to be closer to the clients navigating international expansion. Since then, the team has worked with companies across manufacturing, agricultural processing, technology services, and logistics — always returning to the same three questions: What are you actually measuring? How are you trading? And how are you managing change?
Today, Vinh Phat remains deliberately small. We take a limited number of engagements per quarter so each client receives consistent attention from the consultants who scoped the work. The emphasis has always been on leaving companies with something they can use, not on fostering ongoing dependency.
Mission
To help Vietnamese companies develop the internal capacity to measure what matters, trade with confidence, and execute change with coherence — without becoming reliant on external advisors to do so.
Vision
A business landscape where Vietnamese companies compete internationally on the strength of their own thinking, their own systems, and their own teams — supported when needed, but not dependent.
Values
Clarity in communication, honesty about scope, and respect for the intelligence of the people we work with. We do not oversell engagements and we do not pad timelines.
People Behind the Work
Our consultants bring experience from industry, not just advisory. That difference shapes how we frame problems and what we consider a useful deliverable.
Nguyen Van Thanh
Managing Director
Thanh spent eight years in operations management at a mid-size food processing company before shifting into consulting. He leads KPI framework engagements and transformation program oversight.
Le Thi Huong
Senior Consultant
Huong holds a postgraduate degree in strategic management and brings a decade of experience supporting Vietnamese companies expand into export markets, with particular depth in ASEAN trade corridors.
Tran Minh Duc
Trade Advisory Specialist
Duc previously worked with a customs brokerage firm in Binh Duong and has detailed knowledge of CPTPP and EVFTA framework applications, export documentation requirements, and logistics partner evaluation.
How We Maintain Quality
Our professional protocols are built into every engagement, not treated as optional additions.
Scoped Engagements
Every project begins with a written proposal that defines deliverables, timeline, and fees. Nothing proceeds until both parties have agreed in writing.
Confidentiality by Default
NDAs are signed before any client information is shared. We apply strict data handling protocols and do not discuss client matters with third parties.
Capability Transfer
Each deliverable is designed to be understood and used by your team independently. We include reference materials and a handover session in every engagement.
Data-Driven Approach
We base recommendations on what the data shows, not on best-practice templates. If a standard approach does not fit your context, we say so.
Quality Review Process
All major deliverables go through an internal peer review before client presentation. The reviewing consultant was not involved in producing the document.
Regional Trade Knowledge
Our trade consultants actively follow updates to ASEAN, CPTPP, and EVFTA frameworks to ensure the guidance we provide reflects current regulatory conditions.
Consulting for Vietnamese Companies That Think Ahead
Vinh Phat operates at the intersection of management practice, trade regulation, and organizational change — three areas that Vietnamese companies encounter as they grow, yet rarely find combined in a single advisory relationship. Our work sits at this intersection deliberately.
Clients come to us when they have outgrown their current measurement systems and need a framework that reflects where the business is actually going. They come when they are expanding into international markets and need to understand the documentation and tariff landscape before committing resources. And they come when they are running multiple internal programs that have started to pull against each other rather than reinforce a common direction.
Our consultants bring subject-matter depth, direct industry experience, and a preference for practical deliverables over comprehensive reports that remain unread. We work in English and Vietnamese and understand the business culture and regulatory environment of the southern Vietnamese market well.
